India’s tour of New Zealand will start on October 22.
The Indian Cricket Team is currently facing the West Indies in a five-match T20I series. So far, the two sides have faced each other three times in the series, with the Men in Blue leading 2-1. The last game of the series will be played on October 17.
Later, India will travel to Oceania to face New Zealand in a five-match T20I series, followed by five ODIs and two Test matches. The T20I series will commence on Thursday, October 22, at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. The final T20 international will be played on November 1 at Seddon Park in Hamilton.
The ODI series between two teams will start on November 4, and it will serve a crucial purpose for Shubman Gill‘s men. With the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 approaching, every single ODI game becomes important for the two-time champions. India would aim to gain momentum and figure out their best playing XI as early as possible.
The last time India won an ODI series in New Zealand was during their 2018-19 tour. They defeated the hosts 4-1 to secure the series. However, since then, they have lost two series against the Black Caps. Thus, the Men in Blue would be aiming to assert dominance over the Black Caps at their home.
