Indian Cricket Team crushed New Zealand Cricket Team by eight wickets in the third T20I in Guwahati on January 25 (Sunday). The encounter started with Suryakumar Yadav winning the toss and opting to field first.
Right from the start, Indian bowlers dominated Kiwis batters. The visitors lost their openers Devon Conway (1) and Tim Seifert (12) along with Rachin Ravindra (4) early. Glenn Phillips (48) and Mark Chapman (32) played decent hands, but the visitors could only reach 153/9 in 20 overs.
Jasprit Bumrah jolted New Zealand’s batting line-up with his three-wicket haul, and was well supported by Hardik Pandya and Ravi Bishnoi with two wickets each.
In the chase, Indian opener Abhishek Sharma grabbed the spotlight with his half-century off just 14 deliveries after Sanju Samson’s dismissal for a duck. Smacking seven fours and five sixes, he scored unbeaten 68 runs off 20 balls.
Suryakumar Yadav’s (57*) also slammed a stunning half-century, taking team to victory by eight wickets in just 10 overs. Bumrah was awarded Player of the Match.
