The second and third IND vs NZ tests will be played in Pune and Mumbai respectively.
India suffered a heartbreaking loss in the first of the three-match test series against New Zealand in Bengaluru. After conclusion of the first test, India have made a change to their squad for the final two test matches. All-rounder Washington Sundar has found his place in the squad for the last two test matches in Pune and Mumbai. The second test will kickoff on October 28 in Pune and the final test match will kick off on 5th November in Mumbai.
It looks like the final two test matches will have wickets which will suit the spinners. The first test match had a wicket which helped the seamers to an extent and had rain interrupting the match. The first day was washed out due to rain and on the second day, captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first on a gloomy overcast morning.
India managed only 46 runs in the first innings of Bengaluru test
In the first test in Bengaluru, Indian batters collapsed due to the disciplined bowling of the Kiwi bowlers on a helpful wicket and managed to score just 46 runs. They were chasing the game right from that moment. New Zealand scored 402 runs in their first innings and had a healthy lead of 356 runs after the end of their first innings.
The Indian batters did buckle up in the second innings courtesy of 150 runs from Sarfaraz Khan, 99 from Rishabh Pant, 70 from Virat Kohli and 52 from Rohit Sharma. In the end, India managed to score 462 runs in the second innings and gave a target of 107 runs to the Kiwis to chase. The Black Caps chased down the total on fifth day with the loss of just two wickets.
