Why India should prefer Kuldeep Yadav over Arshdeep Singh in the clash against Pakistan?

The pitch at R Premadasa Stadium is more spin-friendly and offers more assistance to spinners than pacers. Moreover, batters often struggle to score runs and the matches here are mostly low-scoring than high-scoring.

India surely will be keeping this in mind, and more spinners are expected to be part of India’s playing XI. Hence, India should go ahead with Kuldeep Yadav over Arshdeep Singh in their team.

Also, Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy are two frontline spinners in India’s squad. While the former is a left-arm spinner, the latter is a right-armer. Hence, adding both in the playing XI will add more depth to India’s spin attack.

Also, India already have seam all-rounders like Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube, who can lend a hand to Jasprit Bumrah in the pace department. Hence, despite resting Arshdeep, India will not have any woes in their pace department.
