Indian Cricket Team and South Africa Cricket Team are set to battle in the fourth T20I at Bharat Ratna Shree Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Wednesday, December 17. However, the match was delayed due to the weather as fog affected the visibility at the stadium.
The encounter was scheduled to commence at 7:00 PM IST, with the toss taking place at 6:30 PM. However, due to the fog, the toss was delayed and the match did not start on time. Umpires did an inspection multiple times but did not give their nod to start the game until 9:00 PM.
The Men in Blue lead the five-match series 2-1, winning the opening game by 101 runs. However, Proteas made a comeback in the second encounter by 51 runs. In the previous clash, India crushed South Africa by seven wickets to gain a dominating position in the series.
Hence, Proteas need to make a comeback in the fourth T20I in Lucknow to keep their hopes of series victory alive. The Aiden Markram & Co. made a powerful comeback in the second T20I after losing the opening encounter. Hence, fans were expecting a full nail-biting contest between the two sides in Lucknow.

However, they were disheartened as the clash did not start on time after being affected by fog. Therefore, many fans started questioning the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) decision to conduct the match in Lucknow in winters. Some of them also took to the micro-blogging platform X (Twitter) to showcase their wrath against the BCCI.
