South Africa are on verge of winning the second IND vs SA test in Guwahati.

South Africa asserted their authority all over India on day four of the second test at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. The Proteas declared their second innings at 260 for five, setting a mammoth total of 549. Then with the ball, they reduced India to 27 for two at stumps, ending the day on a high.

Aiden Markram (29) and Ryan Rickelton (35) continued with 26 for no loss, leading by 314 on day four. The duo etched yet another fifty-plus stand in the series, adding 59 runs for the first wicket. Tristan Stubbs (94), at three, continued his good form and slammed his second fifty of the match.

He was supported well by Tony de Zorzi (49) as the duo together put on 101 runs for the fourth wicket. Later, Wiaan Mulder (35*) added 82 runs with Stubbs, who was approaching his ton. However, he perished for 94 and with his wicket, South Africa declared at 260 for five, setting a target of 549.

In the chase, India had a horrible start with both Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul perishing early with the scorecard reading 21 for two.

Kuldeep Yadav was sent as a night watchman and he along with Sai Sudharsan ensured that India didn’t lose any more wickets on day four. At stumps on day four, India were 27 for two, needing 522 runs more to win.
