IND vs SA 2024: Most runs, most wickets after 2nd T20I, Gqeberha

South Africa won the second IND vs SA T20I in Gqeberha by three wickets.

On Sunday in Gqeberha, South Africa registered a three-wicket victory over India in the second T20I to level the four-match series 1-1.

South Africa, after winning the toss and opting to bowl first, bowled brilliantly, restricting India to 124 runs. Losing six wickets for the score of 87, Hardik Pandya carried the Indian team with his unbeaten knock of 39.

Marco Jansen emerged as the standout bowler for South Africa, finishing with figures of 1/25. Jansen struck early by dismissing the in-form Sanju Samson for a duck and finished off his spell with an impressive final over, giving away just six runs against Hardik Pandya.

Defending the small total, the Indian team put up a strong fight, reducing the Proteas to 86/7 at one point. Varun Chakaravarthy led the charge with a remarkable 5/17. Despite India’s valiant effort with the ball, the hosts prevailed. Tristan Stubbs held his nerve to guide South Africa to a three-wicket victory, earning the Player of the Match award for his match-winning 47 off 41 balls.

IND vs SA: Most runs

Despite scoring a duck in the second game, Indian opener Sanju Samson leads the runs chart with 107 runs. Following Samson with 58 runs is South Africa’s middle-order batsman Tristian Stubbs.

Tilak Varma has slipped from second to third position with 53 runs in the series. Coetzee and Hardik Pandya round off the tally with 42 and 41 runs respectively.
