India won the third IND vs SA T20I in Centurion by 11 runs.
On Wednesday in Centurion, India registered an 11-run victory over South Africa in the third T20I to take an unassailable 2-1 lead in the four-match series.
South Africa, after winning the toss and opting to bowl first, struggled to contain India’s batsmen who batted with an aggressive tempo. Despite losing Sanju Samson on the second ball of the innings, Tilak Varma and Abhishek Sharma played attacking cricket with the former going on to notch up his maiden T20I ton.
India’s comprehensive batting performance saw Tilak Verma (107) and Abhishek Sharma (50) adding 107 runs for the second wicket before Ramandeep Singh provided the finishing touches with his explosive 15-run innings off just six balls. India ended with a total of 219 runs, which was only par for this venue.
Chasing 220, South Africa lost wickets at regular intervals but Marco Jansen’s fiery half-century kept him alive till the last over.
But alas, Arshdeep Singh kept his nerves to seal the match. Jansen top-scored for the Proteas with his sensational knock of 54 runs off only 17 balls. Arshdeep starred for India with bowling figures of 3/37.
