IND vs SA T20I series 2024: Most runs, most wickets after 4th T20I, Johannesburg

India won the fourth IND vs SA T20I in Johannesburg by 135 runs.
On Wednesday in Johannesburg, India registered a 135-run victory over South Africa in the fourth T20I to win the four-match T20I series 3-1.
India, after winning the toss and opting to bat, got off to a solid start with openers Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson adding 73 runs for the first wicket in 5.5 overs. However, the real fireworks began when Tilak Varma joined Samson at the crease. The duo hammered the Proteas, forming an unbeaten 210-run partnership for the second wicket off just 86 balls.
Samson registered his third T20I century, smashing 109 off 56 balls. Tilak, on the other hand, became only the fifth player and second Indian to score two consecutive T20I centuries, registering 120 off just 47 balls. Tilak’s blistering innings, consisting nine fours and 10 sixes, helped India pile a mammoth total of 283.
Chasing 284, South Africa just couldn’t get going, finishing the powerplay with the scorecard reading 30/4. Tristan Stubbs and David Miller added 86 runs for the fifth wicket before getting out on consecutive deliveries. Ultimately, South Africa were bundled out for 148, giving India the win by 135 runs.
IND vs SA: Most runs
Tilak Varma capped off a phenomenal series, finishing as the highest run-scorer with 280 runs. Sanju Samson, who also notched up two centuries in the series, finished second with 216 runs. Following Samson with 113 runs is South African batsman Tristan Stubbs.
South African all-rounder Marco Jansen and Indian opener Abhishek Sharma close the list with 98 and 97 runs for the series, respectively.

Varun Chakravarthy ended up as the leading wicket-taker of the series with 11 wickets. Arshdeep Singh, who took three wickets in the final T20I, finished the series in the second spot with eight wickets.
Indian spinner Ravi Bishnoi slipped to third position with five wickets. The South African pace duo of Gerald Coetzee and Marco Jansen closed the list with four and three wickets to their names, respectively.
