In less than 24 hours from the completion of the first T20I, the Indian cricket team and the hosts Sri Lanka will face each other in the second match of the ongoing three-game T20I series at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele on July 28.

The Men in Blue started their white-ball tour on a winning note defeating Sri Lanka by 43 runs in the first T20I. This also marks the first victory under new India head coach Gautam Gambhir.

In the first T20I, India posted a huge total of 213/7. Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal (40) and vice-captain Shubman Gill (34) shared an opening stand of 74 runs. Captain Suryakumar Yadav played a classy knock of 58 runs, which helped the visitors cross the 200-run mark.

While chasing 214, Sri Lanka openers Pathum Nissanka (79) and Kusal Mendis (45) shared an opening partnership of 84 runs. However, the Indian bowlers pulled things back in the second half of the chase and the hosts were bowled out for 170 runs.

After taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series, the Yadav-led India will look to seal the series in the second match, which will be played on Sunday. The one major concern for both teams ahead of the second T20I will be their sloppy fielding.
