The second IND vs WI test took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Indian Cricket Team defeated the West Indies Cricket Team by seven wickets in the second test at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday, October 14. With the victory, they competed a 2-0 whitewash and bagged important ICC World test championship (WTC) points.

On day one of the match, Indian captain Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to bat first. With marvellous centuries by Yashasvi Jaiswal (175) and Gill (129*), India posted 518/5d. Kuldeep Yadav then clinched a five-wicket haul as India bowled out the West Indies for 248 runs, enforcing a follow-on with a lead of 270 runs.

While the West Indies were expected to succumb against India’s bowling attack in the second innings, they bounced back with a brilliant batting show on back of the centuries by John Campbell (115) and Shai Hope (103). Justin Greaves (50*) scored an unbeaten half-century as the visitors ended with 390/10 on the scoreboard, setting a target of 121 runs for the home team. Kuldeep and Jasprit Bumrah captured three-wicket hauls for India.

On day 5, India finished the chase to clinch crucial points in the ICC WTC. KL Rahul slammed an unbeaten half-century (58*) to take his team home in the first session.

IND vs WI 2025: Most runs

Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal finished as the leading run-scorer of the two-match IND vs WI test series with 219 runs. KL Rahul and Shubman Gill follow next. Dhruv Jurel is next with 175 runs. Shai Hope, who scored a century in second innings of the Delhi test, ended at the fifth spot with 166 runs.
