The five-match T20I series between India and West Indies has concluded on a disappointing note. Both teams entered the final game with two wins each, and the series winner was set to be declared after the final game at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
But the rain had the last laugh, and the final T20I was called off due to rain. Earlier the toss was delayed. West Indies won the toss and put India to bat first after winning it.
The game was reduced to 9 over each. India lost Abhishek Sharma (6 off 4) early. Sanju Samson (16 off 7) also perished after a good start. But the power play was set ablaze by Ishan Kishan’s 10-ball 30.
India lost a bit of momentum in the middle, but Naman Dhir’s 24* off 6 balls gave India the much-needed pace. But as Tilak Varma (7 off 6) got out, the rain came again, and later the game was abandoned.
