The 2nd IND vs WI test will be played from October 10 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
After winning the first test at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium, Indian Cricket Team will take on the West Indies Cricket Team in second of the two-match test series at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The encounter will begin on Friday, October 10.
According to a report in ESPN Cricinfo, the second test will have a batting-friendly pitch. The reports suggest that the Delhi pitch will have patches of grass interspersed with bald areas. It will have a black soil base and is likely to favour batters. Spin will play a role as the surface dries up.
The opening test at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium also had grass covering. With four millimetres of even grass cover at the red-soil pitch with good bounce in the Ahmedabad test, pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj troubled West Indies batters on day 1, picking seven wickets together in the first innings.

The first IND vs WI test ended in two and a half days
Moreover, the West Indies batters were bowled out for just 162 runs and 146 runs across both innings. India managed to pile up 458/5d in the lone innings they batted. The match concluded within two and a half days, with the hosts winning the clash by an innings and 140 runs.
Since the second test is expected to be more batting-friendly, India might cross the 500-run mark in the encounter. The last test at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi took place in 2023, which was a clash between India and Australia during Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. In that match, Australia chose to bat first on a slow-turner and lost the game by six wickets inside three days.
Meanwhile, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, and Dhruv Jurel grabbed the limelight in the first test with their centuries. Jadeja, who also picked a four-wicket haul in the second innings, was adjudged Player of the Match. India lead the two-match series 1-0.
