The Indian Cricket Team gave a resounding performance to win the recently concluded three-match ODI series against the West Indies. The Men in Blue dominated the Caribbean side in the two initial games, courtesy of centuries from the likes of Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli.
However, in the final ODI, Shai Hope’s match-winning 162-run knock saved the West Indies from enduring a whitewash. With the end of the ODI series, the stage is now set for the five-time T20I series between the two sides.
On the other side, in Japan, India successfully defended their gold medal at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026 after defeating Pakistan in the summit clash. Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma completed their half-centuries in the final, becoming only the first Indians after Virat Kohli to have more than one 50+ score against Pakistan.
India also faced Sri Lanka in the semi-final; however, they secured a one-sided statement win over the Lankan Lions. The team will now head back to India for the upcoming series against the West Indies, as they will be joined by a few cricketers who also played the ODIs against the same rivals.
Both sides are expected to play fearless cricket in the fastest format, while fans will have more opportunities to enjoy the clash. Thus, without any delay, let’s take a look at the details about the upcoming series.
