India A to face New Zealand A in 3 four-day matches ahead of Test series

Before the Indian senior men’s team heads to New Zealand for the Test series, the India A team have a red-ball assignment scheduled from October.

According to the schedule revealed, India A will travel to New Zealand for three four-day matches against New Zealand A as part of their red-ball summer programme.
The first match of the tour is scheduled to be played from October 24 to October 27 at the Bert Sutcliffe Oval.
The second match will take place from October 31 to November 3 at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. The Christchurch venue is one of the most popular venues for international cricket in the country.
The final four-day match is scheduled from November 7 to November 10, as action returns to the Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln. These matches will help Indian youngsters adapt to these conditions.
All three matches are expected to prove beneficial for players currently aiming to secure a place in the Indian men’s Test team. Many players like KL Rahul, Devdutt Padikkal or Manav Suthar might be seen in India A colours, preparing for the 2026 Test series.
India will have to pull off a miraculous clean sweep over hosts New Zealand to keep a firm hold on their chances in this WTC cycle.
