The Super Four encounter of Asia Cup 2025 between India and Pakistan is being played in Dubai.

Indian Cricket Team and Pakistan Cricket Team are locking horns in their first match of Super Four round in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025. The encounter is taking place at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, September 21.

Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. During the toss, the Indian skipper revealed that they have made two changes to their playing XI. The Men in Blue brought back Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy in place of Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana, who were added to the playing XI in their last group stage fixture against Oman.

Notably, this is the same playing XI that India also played in the group-stage clash against Pakistan last Sunday. Both Bumrah and Chakravarthy were rested in the previous match against Oman.

India make two changes in playing XI for Super Four match 2 vs Pakistan

India’s Playing XI: Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Sanju Samson (WK), Suryakumar Yadav (C), Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakaravarthy.

Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha revealed that they have made two changes to their playing XI, resting Hasan Nawaz and Khushdil Shah in the clash. Hussain Talat and Faheem Ashraf have replaced them in the lineup.

Pakistan playing XI: Saim Ayub, Sahibzada Farhan, Fakhar Zaman, Salman Agha (C), Hussain Talat, Mohammad Haris (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed.

Meanwhile, both India and Pakistan were clubbed in group A in the first round. India stole the top spot in the group with six points. They outplayed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by nine wickets, Pakistan by seven wickets, and Oman by 21 runs in the group stage. They have been unbeaten in the tournament so far.

Pakistan lost their encounter against India, however, they won their other two matches against Oman by 93 runs and the UAE by 41 runs. With four points, the Men in Green finished in the second spot in group A points table to book a berth in the Super Four round. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are the other two teams that have qualified for the Super Four round of Asia Cup 2025.
