BCCI to unveil India's ICC T20 World Cup 2026 jersey on this date

India will co-host the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 along with Sri Lanka in February-March next year.

India’s road to the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will begin with the launch of their jersey for the event, as reportedly, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has chosen the date and venue for the same.

The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will be played in India and Sri Lanka in February-March 2026. The tournament will feature 20 teams for the second time and will see four groups of five teams each.

India have been placed in Group A with Pakistan, the Netherlands, Namibia, and the USA. Group B sees Australia, Oman, Ireland, Zimbabwe, and Sri Lanka. Bangladesh, Italy, Nepal, the West Indies, and England form Group C, and the UAE, Afghanistan, Canada, New Zealand, and South Africa form Group D.

The eight eligible teams will be divided into two groups of four for the Super 8 stage. The top four teams from the Super Eights will qualify for the knockout stage, with the semi-finals to be held in Kolkata/Colombo and Mumbai, ahead of the title clash on March 8 in Ahmedabad/Colombo.

Meanwhile, RevSportz has reported that the BCCI will unveil the new design jersey of the Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2026 during the second ODI between India and South Africa that will be played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur.

The match will be played on December 3, Wednesday, and the Indian team’s T20 World Cup 2026 jersey will be unveiled in the innings break in between the match in Raipur.

“India’s T20 World Cup jersey launch during the innings break of the second ODI between India and South Africa in Raipur on Wednesday,” RevSportz posted on X.

Notably, India won the first ODI against South Africa, which was played at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi on November 30. India was asked to bat first and posted 349/8 in 50 overs. Rohit Sharma started well with 57 in 51 balls and added 100-plus runs for the second wicket with Virat Kohli. Kohli hammered his 52nd century in ODIs, hitting 135 runs with 11 fours and 7 sixes to his name. Captain KL Rahul hammered 60 to put India into a commanding position.

South Africa was then rattled by Harshit Rana, who dismissed Ryan Rickelton and Quinton de Kock in the second over of the match and reduced the visitors to 11/3. But then Matthew Breetzke, Marco Jansen, and Corbin Bosch hammered half-centuries to bring South Africa close to the target. But they fell 17 runs short.
