Just IN: India unveil jersey for ICC T20 World Cup 2026

ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February-March 2026.
The Indian Cricket Team‘s kit manufacturer Adidas has unveiled the new T20I jersey, which will be used in ICC T20 World Cup 2026 as well as the series leading up to it. The jersey reveal event took place during the mid-innings break in the second ODI between India and South Africa at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur.
The ICC T20 World Cup tournament ambassador Rohit Sharma and left-hander batter Tilak Verma were present during the jersey reveal. The BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia was also in attendance with the players.
New armour for India’s title defense
Since Adidas has tied up with the Indian team, there has been anticipation for each kit launch. The German manufacturer has worked wonders for the Men in Blue. India have made it to the finals of three ICC tournaments after Adidas came on board, winning two of them.
The jersey for the upcoming T20 World Cup has a sleek striped pattern adorning the customary blue with a hint of orange. It will be interesting to see how it suits the players when they take the field wearing this jersey in the next ICC T20 World Cup.
ICC T20 World Cup 2026 to start in February
ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will start on February 7, with Pakistan and Netherlands taking on each other in the first group stage match at the SSC Cricket Ground in Colombo, Sri Lanka. A total of eight venues have been finalised for the tournament, with five of them in India.
India will start their campaign on the opening day against the United States of America (USA) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side will be eyeing the title at home to recreate the fanfare that we witnessed in ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, which was also co-hosted by India.
