Stadium for India-Pakistan game unveiled ahead of ICC T20 World Cup 2024

India and Pakistan will play at Nassau County Cricket Ground in New York in ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is not far now. West Indies and USA will host the tournament in June 2024. West Indies will host the third ICC event in their history, while the USA have the first opportunity to host an ICC event. The USA will host 16 matches in the mega T20 event, including the big encounter between India and Pakistan in New York.

The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in East Meadow County, New York will host the high-voltage game between arch-rivals India and Pakistan. The neighbours will take on each other on 9th June. The ICC has unveiled the making of the newly-built Nassau County Ground. This stadium is getting ready for the T20 World Cup 2024 games and will be used later for other matches.

East side of the stand is ready!

The 34,000 capacity stadium is getting dressed for the eight matches in the tournament. In a video released by International Cricket Council (ICC), the east side of the stadium is taking shape. Nassau County Ground will have a capacity of 12,500 fans in the east stand of the stadium.

ICC Head of Events, Chris Tetley was delighted to see the rapid progress of the ground. Tetley said, “It is extremely exciting to see the progress made in the construction of the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York over the past month. Work on the outfield commenced in January and in the past few weeks the East Stand framework has really started to take shape..”

Apart from the east stand, work on the outfield has also started. The ICC posted a time-lapse video where the preparation for the outfield is shown. The work began in January 2024. The tournament is not far now, as it is scheduled to begin from June 2024.
