IND vs AUS: India playing XI vs Australia, Final, ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 – Predicted
India will face Australia in the final of the CWC 2023 on Sunday at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium.
It is time for the final showdown in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The tournament has the two best teams facing each other in the final match on Sunday at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium. India have shown better form as compared to the other nine teams and have won against all their opponents.
But one thing that India have not done in their history is beat Australia in the final of the ICC event. India lost to them in the 2003 World Cup final and the WTC final earlier this year as well. Thus, this will be history if they can do it this time around. Here we will talk about the predicted playing XI for India against Australia in the finals.
IND vs AUS: India's Predicted playing XI vs Australia
1. Rohit Sharma (C) :
Rohit Sharma is just one win away from becoming only the third Indian captain to win an ODI World Cup. And he will do everything to do this on Sunday. He has been in superb form with the bat, and his explosive starts have helped the other batters. Rohit has scored 550 runs so far with 28 sixes, and we might see a few more on Sunday.
2. Shubman Gill :
Shubman Gill has complemented Rohit superbly and has overshadowed him in some innings. The 24-year-old is a solid batter at the top, and Ahmedabad is his favourite ground. He has scored four hundreds across formats at this venue alone in 2023, so fans will hope for another one on Sunday. Gill has scored 350 runs at strike rate of 108.02.
3. Virat Kohli :
Virat Kohli has broken some big records in this tournament and is sitting at the top of the table of most run-getters. But nothing is more special than winning a World Cup title. Virat was part of the 2011 winning team but couldn't play a big role. But a lot will depend on how he performs, and the batting will revolve around him. Whatever he has done so far, the best is yet to come in the finals. Virat has scored 711 runs with three hundreds and five half-centuries.
4. Shreyas Iyer :
Shreyas Iyer has certainly exploded in this tournament and taken the last few matches by storm. His sixes over the bowler's head are a treat to watch. He has two hundreds and two half-centuries in the last four innings, and he will surely be looking to make an impact in the final. Iyer has scored 526 runs at a strike rate of 113.11.
5. KL Rahul (wk) :
KL Rahul is the backbone of this batting line-up and has completed all the expectations so far. One last time, he will look to deliver an impactful innings that can help the team to glory. Rahul has scored 386 runs at an average of 77.02 and will be a big wicket in the middle-order.
6. Suryakumar Yadav :
It will be tough because Suryakumar Yadav hasn't had many chances in the last few matches, but the world knows what he can do when he gets going. The pressure will be there, but he has handled it brilliantly in the shorter format, so can he deliver? But one thing is sure, Australia will hope that he gets out early, or else the ground is not big enough for his sixes.
7. Ravindra Jadeja :
The local boy, Ravindra Jadeja, will have a big role in the game. He is the all-rounder in the team and is pretty brilliant in all three departments. Jadeja has done a good job so far, and that will be expected of him one more time. He has taken 16 wickets at an excellent economy rate of 4.25 and scored 111 runs at 55.50.
8. Mohammed Shami :
Australia will look to attack Mohammed Shami to put him under pressure because he will be the biggest threat to them. The veteran pacer is bowling at another level, and his numbers so far are outstanding. Shami has taken 23 wickets in just six innings. But everything depends on how he performs in the finals, and India will hope for one more good performance from him when it matters the most.
9. Kuldeep Yadav :
Kuldeep Yadav will have a big role to play against Australian batters. He is in good form and has been taking wickets in the middle. His two overs at the back end of the innings against New Zealand made the difference in the semi-final. He has taken 15 wickets at an economy rate of 4.32 and will be a challenging bowler against the right-handers.
10. Jasprit Bumrah :
Jasprit Bumrah was not part of the test team that lost the WTC 2023 final against Australia earlier this year. He would have made a big difference, for sure. But it was the perfect time for him to show the world why he is rated so highly. Bumrah has been exceptional and has taken 18 wickets at a superb economy of 3.98, and he will be India's main man against Australian batters.
11. Mohammed Siraj :
Mohammed Siraj can be expensive with the ball, but if he gets into an early rhythm, he will be hard to control. He has taken 13 wickets so far, and most of them have come in the powerplay, which will be his role on Sunday. If he can remove a couple of early wickets, India will be on top.
