India Schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Fixtures, Dates, Venues

India will play their opening game of ICC T20 World Cup 2026 against USA in Mumbai.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) finally announced the schedule of ICC T20 World Cup 2026 on Tuesday, November 25. The tournament will run from 7 February to 8 March across eight venues in India and Sri Lanka. 

A total of 20 teams will be taking part in ICC T20 World Cup 2026 and the league stage will see teams getting divided into four groups of five teams each. The top two teams from each group will advance into the Super Eight, where teams will be placed in two groups. 

The top two teams from each Super Eight groups will advance to the semi-finals followed by the finals. India will enter the tournament as the defending champions. Set to take place at their home, the pressure will be on them to defend the title. 

India are placed in Group A of ICC T20 World Cup 2026 alongside arch-rivals Pakistan, Netherlands, Namibia and the United States of America (USA). They will be the favourites from this group to qualify for the Super Eight stage.  

India to take on Pakistan on 15 February

India will begin their campaign with the clash against the USA in Mumbai on February 7. After that, they will travel to Delhi, where they will take on Namibia on February 12. 

Then it will be time for the India vs Pakistan clash. The match between the two arch-rivals will be played in Sri Lanka on 15 February and then the Men in Blue will return home again. In their last league game, India will take on the Netherlands in Ahmedabad on February 18.
