The IND vs NZ ODI series is scheduled to begin on November 4.

The Indian Cricket Team will tour New Zealand for five T20Is, five ODIs, and two Test matches, starting from October 22. The T20I series will be played first, followed by the ODIs and then the Test matches. The bilateral ODI series between these two nations is scheduled to begin on November 4, with the first match scheduled to be played at Eden Park in Auckland.

With the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 now almost a year away, preparations for the big event are in their final stages, and the team management will be trying to find the best possible combination. India lost the final of the 2023 Cricket World Cup to Australia and will now be eager to give their best to lift the trophy after 16 years. However, to perform their best at the big event, every ODI match will now be important for their preparation.

India failed to register a single win against New Zealand in ODIs during their last two away tours, with the hosts winning both series by 3–0 and 1–0, respectively. New Zealand also defeated India at home in January 2026, winning the series 2–1. It will be a big challenge for Shubman Gill and Co. as they look to defeat the Kiwis and send a strong message ahead of the World Cup.

India last played an ODI series against the West Indies, which they won 2–1. However, a few of their key players were missing from the squad. On that note, let’s have a look at the players most likely to feature in the squad for the New Zealand ODI series.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been named in India’s squad for the T20I series against New Zealand, and he may make his comeback to the ODI team as well.
