The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Tuesday, 19th August, announced the Indian Women’s Cricket squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the strong 15-member squad in the tournament, which will be a home World Cup for them.
The biggest highlight of the squad was Shafali Verma getting dropped. The opening batter has been doing a decent job with the bat for the team, and her snub came as a shock, as she has been doing well in the white-ball formats.

Renuka Singh returned after an injury break and will be leading the pace-bowling department. While Radha Yadav, Sree Charani and Sneh Rana will be there in the spin bowling department.
India have also named standbys for the World Cup in Tejal Hasabnis, Prema Rawat, Priya Mishra, Uma Chetry, Minnu Mani and Sayali Satghare
