Several Indian cricketers are featuring in England’s domestic One-Day Cup.

The Metro Bank One-Day Cup has attracted several overseas players this season, with Indian cricketers representing different county sides across the competition. The tournament has provided them with an opportunity to adapt to English conditions while continuing their preparations outside the international calendar.

Some of India‘s established stars have made an immediate impact with the ball, while others have delivered consistent performances for their respective counties. Their displays have also drawn attention back home as fans continue to track their progress in English domestic cricket.

Indian stars’ performances in the Metro One-Day Cup 2026

Kuldeep Yadav (Yorkshire)

Kuldeep Yadav has had an excellent start to his season in the Royal One-Day Cup for Yorkshire. The left-arm wrist spinner has bagged eight wickets over just four outings, taking two wickets in each match.

He began the tournament with figures of 2-39 against Glamorgan, followed by 2-58 against Sussex. Kuldeep then produced more economical spells, returning 2-34 against Worcestershire and 2-23 against Durham. His ability to combine wicket-taking with control has made him one of Yorkshire’s standout bowlers in the competition so far.

Yuzvendra Chahal (Northamptonshire)

Yuzvendra Chahal has had a great time with Northamptonshire. The spinner claimed six wickets in four games with an economy rate of 4.10.

Chahal started with figures of 2-52 against Warwickshire before following it up with 2-49 against Kent. He then registered 1-35 against Surrey and finished with his economical spell of the tournament, 1-28 against Leicestershire. His disciplined bowling has helped keep opposition batters under pressure throughout the tournament.

Ashutosh Sharma (Hampshire)

While he is best recognised as a powerful middle-order batsman, he has made an outstanding mark as a bowler, picking up 13 wickets in just four games, with 34 overs bowled at an economy rate of 5.94. Among his great feats was the first five-wicket haul in his List A career against Essex, taking his overall wickets to 13 and making him one of the tournament’s top wicket-takers.
