India’s strongest playing XI vs Zimbabwe for first ZIM vs IND T20I - Predicted

India will clash with Zimbabwe on July 23 in the 1st ZIM vs IND T20I.

The Indian Cricket Team are on tour of Zimbabwe, for a three-match T20I series, starting from July 23. All the matches will be played in Harare, and will start at 4:30 PM IST.

Shreyas Iyer started his captaincy stint with the team from the Ireland T20I series, and is yet to win a match as the skipper. India faced consecutive series losses; getting whitewash by Ireland 2-0, and 4-0 by England.

Although Iyer has not won a match yet, he looked settled with the bat, scoring 218 runs in the England T20I series, highest from an Indian. Prodigies like Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Suryansh Shedge, and Prince Yadav had made their debuts in the UK tour.

India have rested their T20I regulars for this tour, and selected a young squad for Zimbabwe, with Prabhsimran Singh, Harsh Dubey, Ashok Sharma, Mayank Yadav and Yash Thakur finding a spot in the squad. Meanwhile, Rinku Singh has earned a comeback to the side.

The Men in Blue would want to start afresh from the Zimbabwe series, erasing the memories of the UK tour, and would aim to put their best foot forward in the 1st T20I. Here is a probable playing XI for the opening encounter.
