Team India to tour West Indies for an all-format series starting on July 12, 2023.

After suffering a humiliating defeat in the World Test Championship Final 2023, Team India will be on a break for a month. There will be no series until India travel to the West Indies for a multi-format series, which gets underway on July 12. On Monday, the BCCI announced the complete schedule for the upcoming tour of the West Indies.

Both teams will play two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is on the tour. It will start with two tests, with the first game starting on July 12 in Dominica. The second test is scheduled to start on July 20 in Trinidad. Notably, the second test will also be the 100th red-ball game between the two teams in history. After the conclusion of the two tests, both teams will play three ODIs, which will be followed by a five-match T20I series that will end on August 13.

India tour of West Indies to consist of two tests, three ODIs and five T20Is:

This will be the first red-ball assignment for Team India after the WTC final loss against Australia. They will kick off their journey for the next WTC cycle. Further, it will also be an important ODI series in order to prepare for the upcoming ODI World Cup. The first two ODIs will take place at the Kensington Oval on July 27 and 29.

On the other hand, the third and final ODI game will take place at the Brain Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad, where the first T20i will also be played. The second and third T20Is will take place at the National Stadium in Guyana on August 6 and 8. That tour will conclude with the fourth and fifth T20 internationals in Florida at Broward County Stadium.

The BCCI has not yet announced the squad yet, which is expected to be announced later this month. It will be interesting to see whether they will give chances to youngsters or whether the seniors will be playing in the ODIs and Tests. We might see youngsters in the T20I series.
