India will play a three-match series at Harare Sports Club.
India will play three T20I matches against Zimbabwe this July; this will be their first tour of Zimbabwe since 2024. The Men in Blue will play all three matches at the Harare Sports Club on July 23, 25 and 26, 2026.
Zimbabwe Cricket had confirmed the match schedule as early as April, giving the host nation ample time to make commercial and logistical preparations for their most high-profile home assignment of the year.
India are the most commercially valuable touring side in World Cricket. Their presence in Harare will undoubtedly generate interest among the crowd and attract sponsors; more importantly for Zimbabwe, it will provide the kind of international recognition that no other opponent could offer.
The two sides last met at the T20 World Cup 2026 Super Eight stage in February, where India won by 72 runs in Chennai after posting 256/4.
Moreover, the series also sets up a significant return fixture, as Zimbabwe are scheduled to tour India in January 2027 for three ODIs; this will be their first bilateral tour of the subcontinent since 2002.
FanCode and Zee secure India broadcast rights
Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed a split-rights broadcast deal for the series in India. FanCode will hold exclusive digital streaming rights, and Zee Entertainment will have live television coverage.
FanCode, which has an existing commercial relationship with Zimbabwe Cricket, has already made its mark on the platform by streaming international tours that fall outside India’s premium broadcast windows.
Co-founder Yannick Colaco called the series a “high-intensity T20 contest” and confirmed comprehensive live coverage across FanCode’s digital platform.
Unite8 Sports is a newly launched Zee Entertainment channel, and the India-Zimbabwe series is among its first significant live cricket properties.
Bavesh Janavlekar, Zee’s chief business officer for Unite8 Sports, described the series as an “ideal property” to establish the brand and confirmed a commitment to a long-term association with Zimbabwe Cricket.
Tavengwa Mukuhlani, chairman of Zimbabwe Cricket, showed his delight on the deals and said,
“The combined reach of FanCode and Unite8 Sports will help maximise the exposure of the series while attracting audiences across multiple platforms.”
India matches draw some of the largest cricket audiences in the world. Zimbabwe Cricket board has long operated on the margins of the sport’s financial ecosystem. Securing dual Indian broadcast coverage for a home series against India is a meaningful commercial step forward.
How many matches will India play in Zimbabwe in July?
Three. All T20 Internationals, played at the Harare Sports Club on 23, 25 and 26 July 2026.
