India vs Pakistan game in Asia Cup 2025 will be played on September 14.
Asia Cup 2025 is all set to commence on September 9 and will witness a battle between eight teams for the title. India and Pakistan are part of Group A in the tournament and will face each other on September 14 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
Notably, after the schedule for the tournament was announced, many fans criticised the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for playing against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025. Many fans believe that India should not play any match against Pakistan in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack.
Last month, India Champions refused to play against Pakistan Champions in the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025. Two games between India Champions and Pakistan Champions, including the semi-final 1, were called off by the organisers.
India vs Pakistan game in Asia Cup 2025 to take place as planned- Reports

The organisers of the Asia Cup 2025, Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), have confirmed that the India vs Pakistan game won’t be cancelled and will take place as planned. Speaking to The National, a news media organisation in the Middle East, ECB’s Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmed said that the India vs Pakistan game won’t witness a fate like the WCL tournament.
“We can’t make any guarantees, but comparing the Asia Cup against a private event like the WCL is not a like comparison. When decisions to play in the Asia Cup are taken, government permissions are taken in advance”, he said.
“That has definitely been done before arriving at the decision of announcing the schedule for the countries. So hopefully we won’t be in a situation as there was at the WCL,” he added.
Meanwhile, eight teams are part of the Asia Cup 2025. India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman are part of Group A. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong are placed in Group B. India will begin their journey in the tournament with the opening clash against the UAE on September 10.
The Asia Cup 2025 final will be played on September 28. India are the defending champions of the tournament as they won the previous edition in 2023 by defeating Sri Lanka in the final. Dubai and Abu Dhabi will host all the games of the tournament.
