9. Kapil Dev

Former Indian captain Kapil Dev is one of the best seam all-rounders to ever play international cricket. From 1978 to 1994, he featured in 131 tests and clinched 434 wickets in 227 innings at an average of 29.64. The right-arm seamer was equally brilliant in ODIs, having bagged 253 scalps in 225 games at an average of 27.45 and an economy of 3.71.

8. Anil Kumble

Anil Kumble is the all-time highest wicket-taker for India in international cricket as well as ODI and tests. The former right-arm spinner finished with 619 wickets in 132 games (236 innings) in his test career, which ran from 1990 to 2008. Across 269 ODIs, the leg-spinner hunted 334 scalps at an average of 30.83.

7. Javagal Srinath

Pace legend Javagal Srinath is another Indian bowler with more than 150 wickets in his test and ODI career. From 2018 to 2025, the right-arm seamer clinched 236 scalps in 121 innings (67 tests), averaging 30.49. Finishing his career as the second-highest wicket-taker for India in ODI cricket, Srinath took 315 scalps in 229 games at an average of 28.08 and an economy of 4.44.

6. Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan Singh is one of the most successful spinners to play for India across formats. From 1998 to 2015, he featured in 103 tests and 234 ODI matches. The right-arm spinner clinched 417 wickets in the tests and 265 scalps in the 50-over format.

5. Zaheer Khan

Zaheer Khan had a 14-year-long career with the Indian Cricket Team from 2000 to 2014 and was one of the most consistent pacers. The left-armer played a crucial role in India’s victory in the ODI World Cup 2011. In 92 tests and 194 ODIs for India, Zaheer captured 311 and 269 wickets, respectively.

4. Ravindra Jadeja

Unarguably, Ravindra Jadeja can be termed the strongest spin all-rounder to ever represent the India across three formats. With his left-arm spin, Jadeja has bagged 348 wickets in 89 tests at an average of 25.11. In 210 ODI games since 2009, the Indian all-rounder has taken 232 wickets at an average of 36.54 and an economy of 4.88.

3. Ravichandran Ashwin

Ravichandran Ashwin is the all time second highest wicket-taker for India after Kumble. The former right-arm spinner retired from international cricket in 2024. During his career from 2010 to 2024, the off-spinner picked 537 wickets in 106 tests (200 innings) and 156 scalps in 116 ODIs.

2. Mohammed Shami

Mohammed Shami is another Indian pacer with more than 150 wickets in both ODIs and tests. In 122 innings across 64 tests, the right-arm pacer has bagged 229 wickets, averaging 27.71. Shami has been equally brilliant in the 50-over format, with 206 scalps in 108 games at an average of 24.05.

1. Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah is often termed the best pacer to ever play international cricket. With his deadly pace and variations, he has dominated opposition teams across all three formats over the years. The 32-year-old made his international debut in 2016 and has taken 150 wickets in 90 ODIs so far. Bowling in 99 innings across 52 tests, Bumrah has bagged 234 wickets at an average of 19.79.
