The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took place on Sunday, September 28, in Mumbai. A lot of key decisions were taken during the meeting along with some new appointments. One significant decision was the addition of former Indian cricketers RP Singh and Pragyan Ojha to the Men’s Indian Cricket Team selection committee.

Reports of Ojha and RP Singh’s addition to the senior Men’s selection committee had been doing the rounds for some time. Although, there was no official confirmation, it was widely speculated that these two will join Ajit Agarkar-led committee. However, with reports emerging true following BCCI’s confirmation, Ojha and Singh will replace S. Sharath and Subroto Banerjee in the selection committee.

Their selection comes as a big boost for Indian cricket as they have made valuable contributions for national team during their playing days. They will be working with Ajit Agarkar, who played with the duo, in the selection committee. Ohja, a former left-arm spinner, represented India in 24 tests, 18 ODIs and six T20Is, while RP Singh, a former left-arm pacer, played 14 tests, 58 ODIs, and 10 T20Is.
