Indian cricketers were felicitated at the Wankhede Stadium for winning ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

An emotional moment occurred on July 4 when the Indian cricket team sang the iconic ‘Vande Mataram‘ song along with crowd at the Wankhede in Mumbai during their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 felicitation ceremony.

After defeating South Africa by seven runs in the grand finale of the T20 World Cup 2024 on June 29, the Indian cricket team finally returned to their home country on July 4. The Rohit Sharma-led side touchdown at the New Delhi airport around 6:00 AM. The Men in Blue then met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence on the very same day, July 4.

The T20 World Cup 2024-winning players then departed for Mumbai in the afternoon. In the evening, Rohit & Co. arrived at the Mumbai airport and received an emotional and heartwarming welcome from the fans. 

After reaching Mumbai, the Men in Blue had a memorable victory parade from the Marine Drive to the iconic Wankhede Stadium. After the victory parade, the Men in Blue had a felicitation ceremony at the stadium in front of the jubilant crowd.

The Men in Blue fans turned up in huge numbers to dance and celebrate the team’s success during the victory parade as well as at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on July 4.

In a latest video shared by the BCCI on their social handle ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), the Wankhede crowd was seen singing patriotic song ‘Vande Mataram’ along with the whole Indian team, who were taking a victory lap and thanking the crowd for their immense support throughout the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
