Indian wicket-keeper batsman KS Bharat has announced his retirement from international cricket. The 32-year-old announced this decision through a social media post.
Bharat played 7 tests for India, scoring 221 runs at an average of 20.09 with a highest score of 44. He made his Test debut in the home series against Australia in February 2023.
He played his last Test match against England in February 2024. Bharat did not get enough opportunities in the national team due to his poor performances in the initial matches and stiff competition from other wicketkeepers.

The right-handed batsman shared a post on Instagram to announce his retirement from international cricket. He shared a photo of himself in the Test jersey and captioned the post, “Thank you, BCCI”. Have a look at the post below.
Bharat represented the Andhra team in domestic cricket. In 113 First-Class matches, he scored 6102 runs at an average of 36.53, hammering 11 centuries and 34 fifties.
He also represented Andhra in 83 List A games, piling up 2692 runs at an average of 36.37 with 8 centuries and 10 fifties. In his T20 career, he scored 1812 runs at an average of 23.23, with 11 half-centuries.
He also featured in 10 IPL matches, representing teams like Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Gujarat Titans. He scored 199 runs in his IPL career with one fifty. His last game was for RCB in the 2021 edition.
