List of Indian cricketers to win ICC Men's Player of the Month award
Shubman Gill is the Indian cricketer with most ICC Player of the Month award.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) launched the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for players who have been consistent across all three formats during a period of a month. It was introduced in January 2021.
Since then, several cricketers have won this pretentious ICC award. Every month, three cricketers are shortlisted on the basis of their performance. The panel of independent ICC voting academy members, including former players, broadcasters, and journalists.
The cricket fans around the globe also vote online in this process and contribute 10 percent to the final decision. Every year 12 players are selected and recognized with this award for their exceptional performance.
India have the most number of players who have won this award until now. Indian ODI and test captain Shubman Gill became the latest player to win the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award
He won the award for September 2026 for his recent performance in the home series against West Indies. Shubman Gill scored a century and an unbeaten double century in the first two ODIs and finished with 334 runs. The other two nominees were India’s Abhishek Sharma of India and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza.

Rishabh Pant was the first ever men’s cricketer to win this award back in January 2021. He was followed by Ravichandran Ashwin and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the next two months, February and March, respectively.
So far, there are 11 different Indian men’s cricketers who have been awarded this ICC award for their consistent performance. Gill holds the record with five ICC Men’s Player of the Month awards so far.
He won it twice in 2023 (January and September), twice in 2025 (February and July), and once in 2026 (September).
