India’s tour of Australia 2025 comprises three ODIs and five T20I matches.

Indian Cricket Team are all set to clash with Australian Cricket Team in a white-ball series Down Under. During the tour, both teams will lock horns in three ODIs and five T20Is, and it is expected to be a cracking series with two best set to be against each other.

The ODI series will commence on October 19 with the opening game at Perth Cricket Stadium in Perth. The next games will be played on October 23 and 25 at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, and Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney respectively.

The ODI series will mark the return of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to the Indian side after a long gap. Both of them last played for India during ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in March. Ahead of India’s tour of Australia 2025, Shubman Gill also replaced Rohit as India’s new captain in ODI cricket, while Shreyas Iyer has been named as vice-captain of the 50-over side.

For Australia, Pat Cummins has been ruled out of both series as he is recovering from a back injury. In his absence, Mitchell Marsh will lead the team in the ODI series. Senior pacer Mitchell Starc will make a comeback in Australia’s ODI team during the series. He last played an ODI game in November 2024. Adam Zampa and Josh Inglis will also miss the first ODI game.

Post the conclusion of the ODI series, India and Australia will square off in five T20I matches from October 29 to November 8. The nail-biting series will witness the opening game at Manuka Oval in Canberra, while the fifth and final encounter will be played at The Gabba in Brisbane.

Suryakumar Yadav will lead the Men in Blue in the T20I series and will be joined by deputy Shubman Gill. After leading India to the title in Asia Cup 2025 last month, Suryakumar will aim for a similar dominating performance against the Aussies. On the other hand, Marsh will continue to lead Australia in the T20I series.
