IPL 2023 Updated points table, Orange cap & Purple cap after Match 10 between LSG & SRH

Lucknow Super Giants registered their 2nd win of the season by defeating SRH by 5-wickets in the 10th match of IPL 2023.

Lucknow Super Giants have kept their 100% record at Ekana Stadium in IPL 2023 intact. After winning their opening game against Delhi Capitals, They have beaten Sunrisers Hyderabad handsomely. In a low-scoring encounter, Lucknow defeated Hyderabad by 5 wickets. In a slow and low track, SRH batters managed to score only 121 runs on the board. Krunal Pandya in the 8th over of the innings took out two back to back wickets of SRH. This made the game completely in control of Lucknow. Lucknow spinners bowled 12 overs and conceded only 57 runs picking 6 wickets in their kitty. Lucknow batters in response held their nerve and did not panic. Finally, they ended up winning the clash by 5 wickets.

With a dominating win over Hyderabad, Lucknow Super Giants earned two important points. With these two points, they have also jumped up to Number 1 in the points table. They have got 4 points in 3 games and are at Number one with an NRR of 1.358. After two back to back losses, Hyderabad are currently placed at 10th position in the points table. Lucknow, Gujarat, and Punjab share the same amount of points in the table. Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, and Sunrisers Hyderabad are yet to earn two points this season.

The Orange cap race has not seen much change in the list of Top 5. Once Kyle Mayers looked like overtaking Ruturaj Gaikwad but Fazalhaq Farooqi sent him back for 13. Mayers with his 13 runs innings has come up to the second position in the orange cap race. Mayers in 3 innings has scored 139 runs. Ruturaj Gaiwad still leads the chart with 149 runs in 2 innings. Shikhar Dhawan with 126 runs is at Number 3, Virat Kohli with 103 runs is at 4th position, and Sanju Samson with 97 runs in 2 innings is at 5th in the Top 5 list.

Bowling in a good rhythm this season, Bishnoi once again bowled an economical spell and conceded only 16 runs in his 4 overs spell, picking up Harry Brook as his only wicket against SRH. Bishnoi is placed in second position with 6 wickets in 3 games. Pacer Mark Wood with 8 wickets leading the race, and Bishnoi with 6 wickets is in second position. KKR’s Varun Chakravarthy is at 3rd with 5 wickets, Titans' Rashid Khan at 4th and Punjab Kings' Nathan Ellis is at 5th position with 5 wickets each.

What's in IPL on Saturday

After initial blows, Rajasthan Royals almost chased down the target of 198 against Punjab Kings in their last game. Royals, after showing their power in the first two games, will take on out-of colour Delhi Capitals at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. Delhi are in search of their first win of this season. While Rajasthan have done well in two games they have played. Later in the day, IPL's El-Classico will be played. Mumbai will host Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.
