Lucknow Super Giants climb up to the top of the points table with 3rd win of the IPL 2023.

The IPL 2023 is providing the fans back to back drama. Fans have witnessed two big run chases in two days. First Rinku Singh’s magic on Sunday, then Nicolas Pooran and Marcus Stoinis with their batting lit up the IPL stage on Monday. Marcus Stoinis under pressure gave Lucknow Super Giants a chance with his half century in 213 runs chase against RCB. He scored 65 runs in 30 balls with 6 fours and 5 sixes. When he got out, Nicolas Pooran made good use of the momentum to smash a quickfire half century. Pooran with 7 sixes and 4 fours in 19 balls smashed 62 runs, this inning helped Lucknow win the game by one wicket. There were a few scares at the end as well but Lucknow managed to go past RCB’s 212. Earlier RCB started nicely by picking up 3 wickets in the first 4 overs. For RCB, Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell scored half centuries.

With a win over Royal Challengers Bangalore at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Lucknow Super Giants have become a table toppers in the IPL 2023. They have earned 6 points in the 4 games they have played. Lucknow lost only one game this season so far. CSK defeated them at Chepauk. Royal Challengers Bangalore, after facing back to back setbacks are at the 7th position in the points table. RCB have won only one game out of the three they have played so far in the IPL 2023. Delhi and Mumbai are yet to open their account, while Rajasthan Royals are in second place with 4 points in 3 games.

Two Royal Challengers Bangalore batters, Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis have made their entries in the Top 5 list of top scorers in the IPL 2023. Both Virat and Faf had scored a half – century each against Lucknow Super Giants at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Opening the batting, Virat scored 61 runs and Faf remained unbeaten on 79. RCB Captain Faf Du Plessis now has 175 runs in 3 innings with a strike rate of 173.26 and is Number 3 in the Orange Cap race. Virat Kohli with 164 runs in 3 innings is in fourth position. Shikhar Dhawan is leading the chart with 225 runs in 3 innings, and Ruturaj Gaikwad with 189 runs is at second place. David Warner with 158 runs is in fifth position in the Orange Cap race.

Lucknow’s Mark Wood is back as a leader in the Purple Cap by bowling out Glenn Maxwell in the final over. Mark Wood could not take part in Lucknow’s second game against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Lucknow. Mark Wood made a great comeback against RCB, he bowled a maiden in his quota of 4 overs giving away 32 runs and picking up Glenn Maxwell. Rashid Khan with 8 wickets is in second position in this race. Royals leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is at third with 8 wickets. Gujarat Titans' Alzarri Joseph is at 4th and Lucknow’s Ravi Bishnoi is at 5th with 6 wickets each.

What's in IPL on Tuesday?

In IPL on Tuesday, Delhi Capitals will be hosting Mumbai Indians at Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium. Both teams have not opened their account in the points table. One of these teams will have an opportunity to register their first win of the season. Mumbai Indians are looking to get back to their winning ways while Delhi is struggling with their batting. Both teams will use this game to gain momentum.
