Rajasthan Royals climbed up to 3rd spot in the IPL 2023 points table following gigantic win over KKR.

It was a day of making history at the Eden Gardens. First, it was Yuzvendra Chahal with his 4 wickets spell who became the leading wicket-taker in the Indian Premier League as well as in the IPL 2023. After Chahal's, it was Yashaswi Jaiswal’s day to steal the show with his fastest fifty. Jaiswal hit the fastest fifty in the IPL history in just 13 balls. Rajasthan Royals thrashed Kolkata Knight Riders by 9 wickets and chased down 150 runs in just 13 overs. Jaiswal remained unbeaten on 98 runs, he took 47 balls in his innings. He smashed 12 fours and 5 sixes in his inning. Jaiswal smashed 26 runs to start the Royals' chase in the first over off Nitish Rana. Captain Sanju Samson also batted well for his 48 runs innings. Chahal (4 wickets) and Boult (2 wickets) didn’t let KKR score much in the game. Apart from Venkatesh Iyer (57), nobody could put up a challenge against Rajasthan Royals. Yuzvendra Chahal overtook Dwayne Bravo by dismissing KKR captain Nitish Rana.

What's in IPL on Friday?

Mumbai Indians will secure themselves in the race for playoffs against Gujarat Titans at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Mumbai after their dominating win against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Wankhede Stadium leaped 5 places in the points table. After the game, they were 3rd in the table and jumped from 8th position. After initial failures, Mumbai did make a comeback of the season. A win against Gujarat Titans will put them in a comfortable position. Gujarat Titans are currently standing tall in the points table with 16 points. Gujarat and Chennai have placed their one foot in the playoff but Titans had to be aware of MI’s chasing power. The Titans have won 8 of their 11 games this season. This will be an interesting clash given the playoff.
