Delhi Capitals captain David Warner was out on second ball duck against his former team.

Delhi Capitals captain David Warner was out on a 2-ball duck against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Bhuvneshwar Kumar cleaned him up in the second ball of the first over. Warner is Delhi Capitals' outperformer in the IPL 2023. Warner’s wicket was important for both teams. Delh’s dugout got tense right after Warner was played on against Bhuvi, giving Delhi the worst start. Delhi Capitals mentor Ricky Ponting’s reaction after the DC skipper’s wicket is going viral on social media. Right after Warner was out, Ricky Ponting gave him a cold stare. Delhi’s batting had been struggling in the season.

Captain Warner, being the leading run scorer in the IPL 2023, had an important role in Delhi’s chase against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Hyderabad gave Delhi 197 runs to chase in 20 overs. But David Warner's wicket put the DC dugout under pressure right after the inning started. Warner had his struggle against Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the past, even today Warner tried to pull an outside off-stump delivery and then he got an inside edge that went to disturb his furniture. With this two-ball duck, Delhi’s captain was walking back to the dugout and Ricky Ponting was furious at the dugout. He gave a cold stare at his captain.

Delhi Capitals, after a poor start of the chase were unable to win the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. This is DC’s 6th loss in 9 games this season. Delhi’s batting has been extremely poor this season. Warner is their leading run-scorer with 306 runs in 9 innings. Apart from him, no one did much damage to opposition bowlers. Axar Patel is Delhi’s second-highest run-scorer who comes to bat in Number 6-7.
