Jaiswal scored 77 runs against Chennai and now with a century against MI, he has announced his arrival in the biggest platform. The swashbuckling opener is also known as 'Little Ganguly' by the fans for his batting stance. Jaiswal with this inning had earned praise from around the world on social media and had become a trending topic.
This century will remain special for Yashasvi Jaiswal. He started his cricket in Mumbai. Now, scoring his first IPL ton in the same city will leave him with a special feeling at the end of the day. Jaiswal has become the 4th youngest batter to smash a century in this league. Before him, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant, and Devdutt Padikkal have scored in IPL ton before the age of 24.
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 124 runs in 62 balls smashing 16 fours and 8 sixes. Jaiswal’s innings helped Rajasthan post a big total of 212 runs against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede. In the Royals' inning, no other batter could go past 18 runs. Buttler (18), Samson (14), and Jason Holder (11) were the ones who held the other end for a bit with Yashasvi smashing MI bowlers from the other. Rajasthan Royals smashed 44 runs in the 3 overs. Jaiswal is now leading the orange cap race as well, Jaiswal with 428 is now the leading run-scorer in the IPL 2023.
