IPL 2024 auction: Date, timings, remaining purse value, where and how to watch

The IPL 2024 auction will see 333 players going under the hammer.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has declared the list of players that will go under the hammer at Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 mini-auction at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Monday (Dec 19). 

This year, a total of 1166 players registered their names for the auction, out of which 333 have been shortlisted for the auction. 214 are Indians, while the rest 119 are overseas players. The list also incorporates 116 capped players, 215 uncapped players, and 2 associate players (players from the ICC’s associate nations).

A total of 23 players have opted for the highest reserve price of ₹2 crore. Moreover, 13 players are on the auction list with a base price of ₹1.5 crore. Ahead of IPL 2024 auction, the ten franchises have retained 173 players in total, including 50 overseas players.

The total salary cap available to spend in IPL 2024 auction is ₹262.96 crore. Gujarat Titans have the highest purse of ₹38.15 crore, and Lucknow Super Giants have the lowest of ₹13.15 crore. The ten IPL franchises will fill 77 slots, including 30 overseas players. They have already retained and released players ahead of IPL 2024 auction. Furthermore, Kolkata Knight Riders have to fill 12 slots in their team, including four overseas players.

IPL 2024 auction date and time:

The auction will start at 02:30 pm IST (1 pm Local Time) on Tuesday (Dec 19). 

IPL 2024 auction venue:

The IPL auction will be held for the first time outside India. The Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai will host the event.

Gujarat Titans (GT): 38.15 crore

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH): 34 crore

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR): 32.7 crore

Chennai Super Kings (CSK): 31.4 crore

Punjab Kings (PBKS): 29.1 crore

Delhi Capitals (DC): 28.95 crore

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): 23.25 crore

Mumbai Indians (MI): 17.75 crore

Rajasthan Royals (RR): 14.5 crore

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG): 13.15 crore
