The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 has certainly picked up the pace, with the tournament keeping on producing some close games. So far, some massive records have been broken this season, which started with the record-breaking viewership on the first day of the tournament. 1. Virat Kohli

2. David Warner

Veteran DC opener David Warner is another player who has done well at the top. He has scored runs in almost every game, but his best came out against Chennai Super Kings in Vizag, when he scored a match-winning fifty. Warner has always been a consistent batter in the IPL, and he has continued doing so. The left-hander has scored 130 runs in three innings at 43.33 with a strike rate of 144.44.

3. Sanju Samson (c)

The RR skipper Sanju Samson has been amazing in the IPL 2024. He is the best captain so far, has led RR to three consecutive wins, and is at the top of the table. Samson has rotated his bowlers pretty well and also made changes to his batting order. Furthermore, he also did well with the bat. Samson has scored 109 runs at 54.5 with a strike rate of 143.42 and will be the captain of the team.

4. Riyan Parag

Ahead of the start of the IPL 2024, not many had thought that a team which has the likes of Buttler, Samson, Jaiswal, would have Riyan Parag as the top run-scorer for them. Well, the fans who trolled the RR batter in the last few seasons are certainly praising him now. The 22-year-old has certainly shown the best version of himself and looked unstoppable. He has scored 181 runs in three innings at an average and strike rate of 181 and 160.17, respectively.

5. Nicholas Pooran

An average of 146 and a strike rate of 175.90 are the stats of Nicholas Pooran, and he has been one of the most impactful batters at No. 5 for Lucknow Super Giants. The Southpaw has been amazing and is pretty. He entered the IPL 2024 with smashing form and has carried it on. He is a perfect guy in the middle order who knows only one way to bat.

6. Heinrich Klaasen (Wk)

When it comes to the best wicket-keeper batter in the tournament, no one can come close to Heinrich Klaasen. He has already smashed 17 sixes in three innings and is probably the best striker currently. Klaasen has scored 167 runs in three innings at an average of 83.5 and a strike rate of 219.73 with two half-centuries.

7. Sam Curran

Punjab Kings retained English all-rounder Sam Curran for INR 18.5 crore, and he has done a pretty good job for them in the ongoing tournament. The all-rounder has taken four wickets with the ball in three games at an average of 17. With the bat, he has scored 86 runs, including one match-winning fifty against LSG.

8. Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzi Chahal has been among the top wicket-takers in the last 2–3 seasons. In this tournament, as well, he is the second-highest wicket-taker at the moment. The veteran leg-spinner has taken six wickets in three games with a best of 3/11. He has also bowled at an economy rate of 6 (5.50), which is brilliant for a spinner. So he can be the leading spinner on this team.

9. Mustafizur Rahman

There was doubt about Mustafizur Rahman’s participation in the IPL 2024 when he suffered cramps against Sri Lanka in an ODI. But he has certainly shown why he is one of the best pacers going around. Since starting the tournament with 4/29, Fizz has Purple Cap and taken 7 wickets at an average of 15.14. He is one of the reasons that CSK won the first two matches.

10. Mayank Yadav

The new pace sensation, Mayank Yadav, has impressed everyone with pace, line, and length and is the joint-second-highest wicket-taker in the IPL 2024. He has just played two games and taken six wickets at an economy rate of 5.12, and he has taken mostly the wickets of top-order batters. Adding to that, in just two games, he has bowled three balls at a speed of over 155 km/h, which is the most by a bowler in the IPL.

11. Khaleel Ahmed

Khaleel Ahmed has certainly impressed everyone with his performances. 2-3 years ago, he made his name with some good IPL performances, but this season, he has taken it to another level. Khaleel has given DC good starts and taken wickets up front. With five wickets in three games, he is the highest wicket-taker for his team and a perfect guy with the new ball.
