IPL 2024: Full list of commentators announced by official broadcasters

Official broadcasters have announced commentary panel for six different languages for the IPL 2024.
Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 opening match, the official broadcasters Star Sports on Saturday, 16th March, 2024, announced a star-studded line-up of commentators for 17th edition of the tournament. The first encounter of the IPL 2024 will be played between defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on March 22.
Previously, the BCCI announced the schedule for the first 21 fixtures of the cash-rich league. The first-leg will be played from March 22 to April 7 in a home and away format.
While the Indian cricketing body is yet to announce the full schedule of IPL 2024, Star Sports announced the full list of commentators and presenters in several languages to give a smooth experience to cricket fans.
The official broadcasters have included some legendary names on the English panel this season. Names like Sunil Gavaskar, Brian Lara, Matthew Hayden, Kevin Pietersen, Danny Morrison, Harsha Bhogle. Apart from the 27 commentators, Star has also announced six international players as part of the IPL 2024 coverage.
For the coverage in Hindi, they have announced as many as 19 commentators. The list includes some famous former international cricketers like Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Ambati Rayudu, Ravi Shastri, Imran Tahir, Mohammad Kaif, and others.
The official broadcasters are diversifying the commentary panel in the upcoming cash-rich league. The IPL 2024 commentary panel will see three more regional languages. Star cricketers like K Srikkanth, S Badrinath, Lakshmipathi Balaji, Murali Vijay, and more will be doing commentary in Tamil language.
While in Telugu, esteemed Indian players like Ambati Rayudu, Mithali Raj, MSK Prasad, Venugopal Rao, T Suman, Kalyan Krishna D, and more will do commentary during the IPL 2024.
Vijay Bharadwaj, Vinay Kumar, Gundappa Viswanath, and more former Indian cricketers will be seen doing IPL 2024 commentary in Kannada language throughout the season.
