IPL 2024: Most runs, most wickets after Qualifier 2, SRH vs RR

SRH defeated RR by 36 runs in Qualifier 2 to make it to the IPL 2024 finals.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) pace duo of Trent Boult and Avesh Khan scalped three wickets each as they restricted Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to 175/9 in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Qualifier 2 in Chennai on May 24.
Apart from Boult (3/45) and Avesh (3/27), pacer Sandeep Sharma also claimed two wickets after Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan elected to bowl first.
For Hyderabad, Heinrich Klaasen scored a 34-ball 50, whereas Travis Head (34) and Rahul Tripathi (37) also contributed with the bat. Shahbaz Ahmed’s run-a-ball 18 provided a push in the end as SRH went past the 170-run mark.
While chasing 176, Rajasthan lost their first wicket to Tom Kohler-Cadmore (10) in the fourth over of the second innings.
However, Yashasvi Jaiswal played a blistering knock of 42 runs before departing in the eighth over. Skipper Sanju Samson (10) also departed in the very next over as the Royals crumbled to 73/3 at the end of first 10 overs.
In the middle-overs, Hyderabad spinners took three more wickets as the Royals reached 93/6 in 14 overs. Towards the end, Dhruv Jurel’s unbeaten 35-ball 56 went in vain as Hyderabad won the match by 36 runs and reached the grand finale.
Pat Cummins-led side will play the IPL 2024 final against two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders on May 26. It is to be noted that KKR defeated SRH in the Qualifier 1 of the ongoing season.
IPL 2024: Most Runs (Orange Cap)

After the end of the high-voltage Qualifier 2 match, there were some minor changes in the IPL 2024 Orange Cap leaderboard.
Rajasthan skipper Sanju Samson finished his IPL 2024 campaign with 531 runs and is currently placed fifth in the most runs list. During the match against SRH, Samson scored 10 runs.
Meanwhile, his teammate Riyan Parag, who just scored six runs, remained at the third spot with 573 runs to his name. On the other hand, Hyderabad opener Travis Head is slotted at fourth position with 563 runs.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru opener Virat Kohli ended his dream run with the bat, with 741 runs to his name. Kohli is currently ranked at the top and is most likely to win the Orange Cap award.
Chennai skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad ended his campaign with 583 runs to his name. He is currently placed second after the end of the SRH vs RR match.
IPL 2024: Most Wickets (Purple Cap)

After the end of IPL 2024 Qualifier 2, there are two changes in the Purple Cap leaderboard. RR pacer Avesh Khan, who scalped three wickets against SRH , jumped to fifth place with 19 wickets. Meanwhile, SRH pacer T Natarajan, who took one wicket moved to fourth spot with 19 wickets.
Meanwhile, Punjab Kings pacer Harshal Patel continues to stay at the top with 24 scalps to his name. Harshal has already finished his IPL 2024 campaign.
Mumbai Indians veteran speedster Jasprit Bumrah is ranked second with 20 wickets. Kolkata Knight Riders’ spinner Varun Chakaravarthy is placed third with 20 wickets. Varun needs a five-wicket haul in the grand finale to win the Purple Cap award.
