IPL 2024: Most runs, most wickets after match 2 & 3, PBKS vs DC & KKR vs SRH
PBKS and KKR won their respective games against DC and SRH in the first double header of IPL 2024.
All-rounder Sam Curran and hard-hitter Liam Livingstone played big roles with the bat as Punjab Kings (PBKS) got their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 campaign off to a flying start with a four-wicket win over Delhi Capitals (DC) at their new home ground, the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium on March 23.
PBKS all-rounder Curran hammered 63 runs, while his batting partner Livingstone made unbeaten 38 runs as Kings closed the chase with four balls to spare, scoring 177/6 in 19.2 overs after restricting Capitals for 174/9 in 20 overs.
In first innings, DC’s Impact player Abishek Porel played cameo right at the end of the innings to help Delhi post a competitive 174/9 in 20 overs. He smashed an unbeaten 32 off 10 balls, including 25 runs off the last over against PBKS pacer Harshal Patel. However, his efforts went in vain as PBKS won the afternoon game by four wickets.
What happened in match 3 of the IPL 2024 between KKR and SRH
Newly appointed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to field first against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata on Sunday evening.
KKR opener Phil Salt made a statement after replacing Jason Roy in the Kolkata squad. Salt hammered a 40-ball 54 before hard hitter Andre Russell exploded at the back end with a stunning fifty to guide his side to 208/7 in 20 overs. Russell smashed an unbeaten 64 off 25 balls.
While chasing 209 runs, SRH openers Mayank Agarwal and Abhishek Sharma gave the visitors a fiery start by smashing 60 runs inside five overs. However, KKR pacer Harshit Rana struck as he got the wicket of Mayank, who departed after scoring 32 runs. Left-handed batter Abhishek played a good cameo as he notched up 32 runs off just 19 balls.
Heinrich Klaasen and Shahbaz Ahmed stitched a partnership of 58 runs in just 16 deliveries to take their side to a close finish, but Harshit Rana bowled a superb last over and defended 13 runs to help his side earn two points.

PBKS all-rounder Sam Curran is at the third spot with 63 runs. Explosive opener Phil Salt is in fourth spot with 54 runs. RCB’s Anuj Rawat stands at fifth position in the list with 38 runs to his name.

KKR’s Harshit Rana, DC’s Kuldeep Yadav and Arshdeep Singh find themselves at third, fourth and fifth spots respectively, at the end of the third match.
