However, Daryl Mitchell played a blistering knock of 34-ball 63 and Moeen Ali smashed 56 runs as CSK reached 143/5 in 15 overs in response to Gujarat’s first innings total.

Towards the end, Chennai started to lose wickets at regular intervals as they lost the match by 35 runs. In last overs, MS Dhoni was seen hitting sixes to entertain the crowd as well as save CSK from having a bad NRR. Following the win, GT still have hopes alive to make it to the playoffs.
