Rajasthan Royals are unbeaten in the IPL 2024 so far.

The Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur is all set to turn pink on April 6 as the in-form Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the match No. 19 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. But for this match, the Royals won’t be wearing their usual jersey. Instead the Sanju Samson-led Royals will be seen donning a special pink jersey.

However, this isn’t the first time an IPL franchise have donned special jerseys. Earlier, RCB have been seen wearing green jerseys to promote environmental awareness. In IPL 2023, Gujarat Titans also wore a special Lavender jersey to spread and raise awareness about cancer. In the same edition, Mumbai Indians were seen wearing jersey of their women’s team.

Why Rajasthan Royals will don pink jersey for RR vs RCB clash in IPL 2024?

The Rajasthan based franchise will be donning a special all-pink matchday kits as part of their #PinkPromise, through which the franchise will aim to support to the empowered women from rural Rajasthan, who are driving significant societal transformation.

Also, the Royals will donate Rs. 100 for women-led rural transformation in Rajasthan on every match No. 19 RR vs RCB ticket purchase. Apart from these great initiatives, all the sale of each all-pink Royals’ jersey will go to its social equity arm “The Royal Rajasthan Foundation.”

In addition, for every 6 hit during the match between both teams, Royals and the Royal Rajasthan Foundation will light up 6 homes in the Sambhar region with solar power.

How both the teams have performed so far in the IPL 2024 season?

Rajasthan are unbeaten so far in the IPL 2024. RR won their first two home games against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals. In their last fixture against five-time champions Mumbai Indians, they won the match by six wickets at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The franchise will look to keep the winning streak alive by defeating RCB in their next home game.

On the other hand, RCB have lost three games and just won one game in the season, which came against Punjab Kings. In their last home fixture against LSG, they suffered a crushing defeat by 28 runs.
