Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have unveiled their new green jersey ahead of the high-voltage Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK), which is going to be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, on March 22.
The unveiling ceremony added more excitement to the already buzzing IPL tournament. With all eyes are on RCB camp, cricket fans were treated to a glimpse of the team’s fresh look for the upcoming 17th edition.
Since 2011, RCB has taken a great step towards environmental sustainability and spread awareness through their “Go Green” initiative by introducing the green jersey. The Bengaluru-based franchise wore the green jersey for a few games in the IPL tournament, showing their commitment to the environment.
Following the RCB Unbox event, the franchise arrived in Chennai and is all set to take on defending champions CSK on March 22. Before the highly anticipated match, Faf du Plessis’ RCB organized a photo shoot to unveil their newly introduced green outfit.
Star RCB cricketers like Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, Rajat Patidar, and Mahipal Lomror graced the occasion with their presence in Chennai, flaunting their new green jersey ahead of the IPL 2024 season.

Will try my absolute best: Virat Kohli on winning IPL trophy
At the RCB Unbox event, star batter Virat Kohli expressed his thoughts that he would try his best to help the franchise win the IPL title this season. Kohli emphasized the significance of fulfilling the aspirations of RCB’s dedicated fans.
“As everyone knows, I’m always gonna be here, try to be part of the group that wins it (IPL) for the first time… I will try my absolute best for the fans, for the franchise… its kind of a dream of mine as well over so many years, to know what it feels like to win the IPL,” former RCB captain Virat Kohli said.
“It’s really good to be back, firstly playing cricket and just starting off the IPL. It’s always exciting to come back to Bangalore for the start of the IPL season. So, similar emotions, similar feelings and I haven’t been off the media radar. I have been into the normalcy, you can say, for two months. So, yeah, I am pretty happy and excited to be back and I hope all the fans are excited and happy as well,” Kohli said.
