In match No. 24 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, in-form Rajasthan Royals (RR) batters Riyan Parag and Sanju Samson guided the hosts to 196/3 in 20 overs against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on April 10.

After being sent to bat first, Royals openers Yashasvi Jaiswal (24) and Jos Buttler (8) went inside powerplay as the hosts managed to score 43/1 in first six overs. However, skipper Samson (68*) and Riyan Parag (76) helped their side to bail out of the dangerous situation.

While chasing 197 runs, Titans opener Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan (35 runs) stitched an impressive opening stand of 64 runs before Royals pacer Kuldeep Sen took Sudharsan’s wicket in the ninth over. Sen then took Matthew Wade (4) and Abhinav Manohar’s wickets in the 11th over.

Gill departed after smashing 72 runs as he was stumped by Sanju Samson off a brilliant delivery from Yuzvendra Chahal in the 16th over. Towards the end, Rahul Tewatia (22) and Rashid Khan (24*) added a match-winning partnership of 39 runs, which guided the visitors to a three-wicket win.
