IPL 2024: RIVALRY ENDED! Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir hug each other during RCB vs KKR clash

In IPL 2023, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir had a heated on-field spat after the LSG vs RCB match.

In a heartwarming moment during match 10 of the Indian Premier League 2024 between arch-rivals Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), legendary Indian cricketers Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir ended their iconic rivalry between each other at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on March 28.

Both Kohli and Gambhir were seen sharing a smile and hug during the strategic time-out of the first innings. The eye-catchy incident happened after the umpires signaled for a break (strategic time-out) after the 16th over of the RCB’s innings, KKR mentor Gambhir walked down to Kohli and the duo hugged it out and talked with each other while sharing smiles.

Both Kohli and Gambhir are arguably the greatest Indian cricketers of the modern era, have had several on-field spats over the years as the two have been involved in numerous heated exchanges on the cricket field.

Last year, the duo had a heated on-field confrontation after IPL 2023 match between Lucknow Super Giants and RCB. Gambhir was then LSG’s mentor that time before joining Kolkata ahead of the 2024 season.

Earlier, Knight Riders won the toss and opted to bowl first against Bengaluru. Shreyas Iyer’s KKR made one change in their Playing XI as all-rounder Anukul Roy coming in and Nitish Rana sitting out. Meanwhile, Faf du Plessies’s RCB are unchanged from their last match against Punjab Kings at the same venue.
