IPL 2025: Full list of commentators announced

IPL 2025 will begin on March 22.

The much-awaited 18th edition of the world’s biggest franchise cricket league, the Indian Premier League (IPL), will begin on Saturday, March 22, in Kolkata. The opening game of the tournament will see the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

The IPL 2025 season will feature 74 matches over 65 days. The 70 league games will be followed by the Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and Final. The playoffs will begin on May 20.

A total of 10 teams will participate in the tournament namely: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Mumbai Indians (MI), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Delhi Capitals (DC), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Gujarat Titans (GT).

KKR will enter the season as the defending champions, while MI and CSK will enter as the most successful teams with five titles each.
